Scan a CKey.
Point your camera at a printed or on-screen CKey, or choose a photo of one. You see what the code holds first, and nothing opens until you choose.

Hold the whole code inside the frame
The camera is off.
Video and images are decoded on this device. Nothing you scan is sent to openckey.org or anywhere else.
What the code holds
Nothing scanned yet. When a code is found, its content appears here before anything else happens.
- Fill about half the frame with the code, square on.
- Light it evenly and avoid glare on glossy prints.
- Leave a little blank margin around its edge.

How this scanner keeps you safe
It shows before it acts
The decoded content is always shown in full. A link, number or address becomes a button that names where it goes, and nothing happens until you press it.
Only familiar actions
Web links, email, phone, messages, map places and contact cards are offered as actions, following the CKey payload conventions. Anything else, including scripts and app links, is shown as plain text.
Check before you trust
For an Open CKey address you can check its status first: whether it is active, still waiting for its safety scan, or disabled. Anyone can report a harmful link.
